Silhouette Instalift – Threadlifts Facelift in Paramus at Art Plastic Surgery

The cosmetic effects of aging appear gradually and can be different for everyone. That’s why patients need access to several different anti-aging therapies, each tailored to different phases of the aging process. Not everyone wants to have surgery, and not everyone has time to devote to recovery. Board-certified plastic surgeons Dr. Luis A. Zapiach and Dr. John T. Cozzone, therefore, provide their patients with a minimally invasive alternative to facelift surgery: The Silhouette Instalift.

Introducing the Silhouette Instalift

The Silhouette Instalift is an innovative procedure that aims to bridge the gap between injectable treatments and surgery. The Silhouette Instalift uses biodegradable sutures to lift the deeper tissues that support the face. No incisions are made during this process, and you won’t have to go under general anesthesia. Instead, our surgeons numb the treatment area with a local anesthetic, then use a fine needle to insert specialized sutures into the dermal tissue around the cheeks and jawline. These sutures contain several tiny cones that act like scaffolding, raising and supporting the skin and connective tissues of the face.

The sutures used to perform an Instalift are made from Polyglycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), a safe, naturally derived material that has been used in medicine for over 30 years. PLGA sutures are harmlessly absorbed by the body over time, so you won’t need to have your sutures removed at any point. Once you leave our office, you’ll be able to enjoy a younger look with complete peace of mind. With the use of ProNox during your minimally invasive procedure, you can enjoy completed comfortable treatment and a relaxing appointment.

What are the Benefits of the Silhouette Instalift?

The Silhouette Instalift offers several unique advantages not associated with other facial rejuvenation procedures:

Though injectable treatments can relax wrinkles and fill-in creases and hollows, they can’t treat the tissue sagging that causes jowls and other undesirable features to form. The Silhouette Instalift, on the hand, directly lifts the skin and the tissues that support it. This raises the patient’s features to a youthful position.

The effects of one Silhouette Instalift can last for up to two years, making this procedure one of the most effective non-surgical anti-aging solutions.

The sutures used during this procedure have been proven to stimulate the production of collagen, a protein that keeps skin strong and supple. Declining collagen levels are responsible for many of the signs of aging, so replenishing this essential compound helps to prevent the return of wrinkles and sagging skin. Patients who have an Instalift often continue to see improvements in their skin for three to six months after treatment.

Performing an Instalift takes just 30 to 45 minutes on average, and patients don’t have to rest afterward.

No incisions are made during this procedure so that no scar tissue will form following treatment.

Silhouette Instalift FAQ

Discomfort associated with this procedure is typically very minimal. Some patients report minor swelling, bruising, and tenderness after their Instalift, but pain is uncommon. Most people who have this procedure can return to work right away. If the pain is a concern for you, just let our doctors know; we’ll do everything we can to ensure your comfort, including using ProNox to help you feel as relaxed as possible during your appointment. ProNox is an inhaled sedative medication that greatly increases your feelings of comfort; the medication safely and quickly tapers off after use so you do not experience the same after-effects as other forms of sedation.

Anyone who is in good overall health can have an Instalift. Candidates may also need to discontinue the use of certain medications, like blood thinners, before treatment. When you visit us for a consultation, our doctors will let you know what (if anything) you need to do before having an Instalift.

Note that while this procedure is safe for adults of all ages, it tends to produce the most noticeable results in patients under 50. Mature patients typically benefit more from conventional facelift surgery.

Yes, absolutely. Dr. Zapiach and Dr. Cozzone often recommend taking this approach because it can create striking, comprehensive results without surgery. Your Instalift will tighten and raise your neck and mid-face region, while Botox® injections can relax the area around the eyes and forehead. Finally, we can use dermal fillers to replace lost facial volume and shape your features to reflect your cosmetic preferences. When you come in for a consultation, our doctors will help you develop a personalized treatment plan designed to meet all your goals.
