ThermiTight™
ThermiTight™ is a nonsurgical, minimally invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to tighten lax skin in the face, neck, back, chest, and arms. During the procedure, a small SmartTip™ thermistor probe is carefully inserted under the skin in the targeted area and gently moved around as it delivers a precise degree of RF energy controlled by the ThermiRF™ device.
This thermal-regulated energy is monitored with advanced Thermal Image Guidance™, helping to ensure specific deep tissue layers are heated without harming surrounding structures. Once the desired temperature for these tissues is reached, the skin’s natural repair process prompts new collagen growth, ultimately helping to tighten loose skin in the treatment area over several months as new collagen continues to be produced.
Following the ThermiTight™ treatment, some degree of temporary swelling, bruising, and/or redness may occur, but these side effects should dissipate relatively quickly. Any potential discomfort or tenderness is typically minimal, and the majority of patients are able to resume normal daily activities within one to two days, if not right away. For ideal results, a series of treatments may be necessary.
THERMISMOOTH™
ThermiSmooth™ is a non-invasive procedure that employs radiofrequency energy to smooth skin below the eyes, around the mouth, across the forehead, on the eyelids, and on the neck.
During treatment, a small amount of coupling gel is first applied to the skin, and the special ThermiSmooth™ handpiece is guided gently across the targeted area as it administers precise heating regulated by the ThermiRF™ system. Once tissues in the treatment region reach a specific temperature, old collagen begins to shrink, and the production of new collagen is stimulated by the skin’s natural healing process. Over time, this new collagen growth creates a smoothing effect on the skin’s surface for a more even, youthful-looking appearance.
Due to its non-invasive nature, there is generally no pain or discomfort experienced during or after the ThermiSmooth™ procedure. In fact, most patients say treatment feels much like a warm massage. Though some degree of swelling and/or redness may occur in the targeted area, these symptoms should subside shortly and typically do not inhibit patients from resuming normal activities as soon as they leave our office. To achieve optimal results, a series of ThermiSmooth™ treatments may be necessary.
