ARM LIFTS
At Art Plastic Surgery, we offer arm lifts — a procedure known as Brachioplasty — which removes excess skin to improve the contours of your upper arms. Come in for a consultation to determine if this procedure can help you regain your confidence to wear short sleeves again.
Who Can Benefit from an Arm Lift?
If excess arm skin harms your self-image or impedes daily activities, you may be a good candidate for Brachioplasty. Both men and women can regain toned, shapely upper arms following an arm lift. Many of our clients have recently lost a lot of weight and want to get rid of excess skin. At the same time, we can remove excess fat for a smooth, shapely upper arm that leaves you feeling confident and appealing.

How Do I Prepare for an Arm Lift
During a consultation with one of our board-certified plastic surgeons, you can ask any questions you may have, and an experienced surgeon will help you determine whether Brachioplasty would work for you. Come prepared to answer questions about your medical history and current health. If you decide to move forward with the process, you will receive detailed instructions to prepare for the surgery.
You may have to give up smoking, refrain from using blood thinners, and follow other surgeon instructions in the weeks before and after the surgery.
What Happens During the Arm Lift Procedure?
Since you undergo the procedure under general anesthesia, you won’t feel any pain or discomfort. Typically, the surgeon makes an incision from the elbow to the armpit. First, the surgeon uses liposuction to remove any extra fat, and then, they remove excess, hanging skin before closing the incision to achieve a lifting effect.
Recovery from Brachioplasty
Tiny cannulas positioned in the incisions drain away fluids during the healing process. Your arms are wrapped to protect the incisions, and you may need compression garments for additional support during the healing process.
Follow the surgeon’s instructions about when it’s safe to return to light activities. Most patients return to work within a few weeks. Avoid strenuous activity for several weeks to ensure that your arms have plenty of time to heal.
