Natural Breast Augmentation
Dr. John T. Cozzone and Dr. Luis A. Zapiach at Art Plastic Surgery are two of the few plastic surgeons in America to offer “natural breast augmentation,” a breast enlargement technique that takes fat from one part of the body and moves it to the breasts to add volume and fullness. Breast augmentation using fat transfer is really two procedures in one: liposuction for areas of the body such as the abdomen, love handles, and/or thighs; and the relocation of the extracted fat to the breasts for breast augmentation. This procedure minimizes scarring and reduces risks associated with breast implants.
Please contact Art Plastic Surgery for more information on natural breast augmentation using fat transfer.
Breast Augmentation using Fat Transfer
Natural breast augmentation using fat transfer utilizes your own body fat to help you add volume to the breasts. Once Our New Jersey plastic surgeons have talked with you about your goals, and you have agreed on the best area to harvest the fat – whether it be the thighs, love handles, or abdomen – They will perform liposuction on the area, removing the excess fat. The fat that is removed will then be injected in tiny amounts into the breasts. This makes it possible for very precise shaping of the breast, in addition to added breast volume.
Natural Breast Augmentation Benefits, Advantages, and Disadvantages
There are many advantages and benefits to natural breast augmentation. The procedure eliminates the need for breast implants, plus, it gives patients a dual aesthetic benefit by removing excess fat from specific body regions and using it to enlarge the breasts. Using substances natural to the human body for breast augmentation also takes away the risks of introducing foreign materials (breast implants) into the chest. Natural breast augmentation also requires fewer incisions than traditional techniques, and therefore, less residual scarring.
However, there are some disadvantages associated with this procedure. Natural breast augmentation often only increases breast size by about one bra-cup, so it may not be useful for patients who are looking to substantially enlarge the breasts. Also, in some cases, not all of the transferred fat remains. The procedure usually requires one to three treatment sessions (transferring of the harvested fat) to obtain optimal results.
As with any surgical procedure, there are risks and benefits to natural breast augmentation using fat grafting. Dr. Luis A. Zapiach and Dr. John T. Cozzone offer a full range of breast enhancement procedures, and will be happy to discuss them with you in an initial consultation. Together, you and your plastic surgeon can decide whether natural breast augmentation is the right option for you.
