Our own Dr. Luis A. Zapiach was recently recognized as a Top Doctor for New Jersey Monthly Magazine for 2013. This is the second consecutive year Dr. Zapiach has received the honor, and he hopes the award will reinforce to his current and prospective patients the high level of care that our entire plastic surgery team strives to provide.
The Top Doctor recognition is awarded through peer selection. Because Dr. Zapiach often treats other physicians in the area and their friends and family members, he says many of his medical peers have firsthand knowledge of the level of his work and his strong commitment to patient care. “New Jersey is my home and this honor is very important to me. I grew up, went to school, and completed most of my training in the area; now I take care of many people I grew up with, went to school with, or work with. I take pride in caring for my community and personally performing all of the patient care myself. It is always nice to see my efforts and dedication to each patient’s entire experience recognized through distinctions such as New Jersey Monthly Magazine’s Top Doctor award.”
New Jersey Monthly Magazine’s 2013 Top Doctor recognition is awarded based on the results of surveys given to 23,713 doctors across the state. Each doctor who fills out the questionnaire must be licensed to practice in New Jersey for at least five years. Doctors are asked to vote for peers they would choose to treat members of their own family.
